The son carried with him a sort of haunt from the past barbaric exploits of his forefathers. He was the son of bad men, but hard men whose “sand” he admired, whilst wallowing in the “white guilt” some whites of his era had grown accustomed to for fear of stoking those inner flames that gut civilizations leaving nothing in the vacuum but charred innards that wouldn’t even make suitable offerings to long dead gods.
